When Ibrahim Jaidah took over the practice in 1991, it already had an excellent name in the industry, but had witnessed limited growth, employing just six staff. Over the past 20 years, though, it has expanded dramatically, employing over 400 highly qualified professionals from various disciplines and from 29 different countries from all over the world. The practice has also equipped its offices with the very latest state-of-the-art technology, giving everyone who works within the firm the tools to not only meet, but also to exceed client expectations.

In addition, as it has evolved into a leading multi-disciplinary architectural design consultancy, AEB has spread its wings and now has Middle East offices in Doha and Abu Dhabi, plus South East Asian offices in Manila and Kuala Lumpur. In addition, building on its pioneering work and consolidating a long-term commitment to future development in the region, the practice is also opening a new office in Muscat, Oman.

Willing to take up any challenge, AEB works extensively across a large number of markets and sectors, and in recent years has completed numerous commercial, residential, civic, institutional, educational and historic preservation projects for a variety of public and private clients throughout Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen and Sudan. Within these projects, AEB has worked alongside a number of international firms, including Arata Isozaki and Jean Nouvel, and has been involved in many large-scale government contracts.
